| May 15 &16 2010 - Chicago Custom & Vintage Drum Show |
The 20th anniversary Chicago Custom & Vintage Drum show was a huge success...with Master Classes and Clinics both Sat. and Sun., were fantastic.
Tammie and I had the great opportunity to video-tape the Billy Ward Clinic on Sat. Along with Matt C. at the audio helm.
I am in the process of editing all footage and Billy is "adding sprinkles" to the audio and I plan on getting the Billy Ward Clinic piece up asap.
In the meantime enjoy these pictures that Tammie and I took of the show!

| June 5 2007 - Michael receives Billy Ward's "Big Time" DVD |
Barton receives Billy Ward's instructional DVD and has this to say:
"I watched Billy's DVD, "Big Time" late last night when everyone was asleep because I knew once I got into it, I didn't want to be interrupted! This DVD has made a very significant impact on me...how I'm tuning my drums, where I place my drums and cymbals...my approach to being creative...playing the drums musically...just to name a few things...
Since watching this video, I also practice in a whole new way...I spend a lot more time just playing, grooving...sure, I am being very specific about my practice details...but to head off to practice knowing I'm gonna have some fun has put a whole new spark into my life!"

for quite some time as of late...but was afraid I would "lose" my feel for certain types of
music...but after watching Billy dig into bop with as much conviction, technical prowess and sincerity as any of the
great jazz players that play traditional grip...well...that was enough to make my decision an easy one...and besides...my setup just
screams for matched grip!

Andrew was born with Cerebral Palsy, which affects movement in his arms and legs,
and restricts him to walking on crutches. Despite this, Andrew has over the past 17 years worked successfully as a Performing
Artist, Clinician, Motivational Speaker and Drum Educator.
Says Barton:
"I watched this video and right away I was extremely moved by Andrew...his love for the drums is obvious and there is nothing that is going to stop him! This guy has a backbeat that is solid and infectious!
Andrew does more with his talent than most drummers I know...period. Andrew is always busy helping in any way he can; at camps for disabled kids, playing shows, giving motivational speeches, writing or just jammin out on his kit...

"Creative Coordination & Advanced Foot Technique."
Creative Coordination is a three-disc set presenting Thomas Lang's cutting- edge approach to 21st Century drumming with particular emphasis on foot technique and coordination.
A "Matrix" system allows one to be more efficient with practice...learning more is less time.

WAMI ANNOUNCES 27TH ANNIVERSARY AWARD WINNERS
Wisconsin's top musicians, artists, bands, and industry notables were recognized for their contributions to the state's diverse music scene at the 27th Annual Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Awards Show, held Monday, April 30, at the Northern Lights Theater at Milwaukee's Potawatomi Bingo and Casino.
Awards were given in 35 categories, ranging from recognition for musicianship and recordings to the industry-related technical areas, with recipients hailing from all areas of the state.
Winner of the Drummer/Percussionist category: Greg Thiel
