When I was little and went to shows with my brother, I always watched the
drummer.
My favorite drummers are: Jason Bittner, Vinnie Paul, John Bonham, Joey
Jordison, Lars Ulrich, and Chad Smith.
I've been playing for about two years now. My goal is to become as good as I can be at drumming.
I play a Pearl Chad Smith signature drum set with; Zildjian ZHT 13"

21" rock ride, a Zildjian ZBT 14" crash, and a Sabian XS 18"

"I started playing drums because I craved the feeling of having control of the life and soul of a piece of music: the rhythm and beat. And I needed something loud and brute to break me out of my classical pianistic shell! My favorite drummers are those who know how to improvise on a beat beautifully, such as Dave Grohl from Nirvana, Phil Selway from Radiohead, and John Dalmyan from System of A Down. I have been playing for 2 months... I plan to continue when I go back to college in the Fall and eventually have my own drum-set. I would love to be good enough to play in a rock or jazz band by the time I graduate."

"I started playing the drums as I've always have been interested in an instrument and for some unknown reason, the drums have always stood out to me. My favorite drummers would be Phil Rudd, Ticco Torres and Brad Arnold. I've been playing for about 4 years now, being self taught until a couple of months ago I began working with Mike. As far as goals, I want to be able to sit behind a drumset and not feel intimidated by the fact I'm not able to play in time or smoothly with others. Since working with Mike, my confidence and enthusiasm with the drums has just skyrocketed."

Only "seriously" since November 2008." What are your goals with your drumming:"To develope a level of proficiency where I can enjoy playing until a ripe old age."

"I started playing drums in high school partly because my dad played at his high school in the 50's. I guess you could say it's in my blood. I stopped playing for about 20 years, then picked up the sticks again about 4 years ago, and haven't stopped banging around since. Not only is it satisfying, it's extremely therapeutic, as well. Fave drummers are Jo Jones, Buddy Rich, Simon Phillips, Stuart Copeland, Bill Bruford, and so many more. Way too many to list. My goals are as follows: become a skilled all-around percussionist (not just a kit player) that can incorporate everything from jazz, rock, funk, blues, and Latin styles into my playing. So far, so good!"
